Alexander Volkanovski Defends Movsar Evloev’s Skill Set Following UFC 333

Following his successful title defense against Movsar Evloev at UFC 333, Alexander Volkanovski is offering a high assessment of his challenger's future prospects. Despite securing the victory in their recent bout, Volkanovski stated that he believes Evloev remains a significant threat to the remainder of the featherweight division.

Volkanovski noted that his win over the Russian contender came down to a difficult stylistic matchup, which favored the champion in this specific instance. He expressed confidence that Evloev would fare much better against other top-ranked featherweights, suggesting that the challenger possesses the skills necessary to "walk through" much of the current division. The champion’s comments highlight the high level of competition within the 145-pound ranks as both fighters look toward their next career steps. Evloev, who entered the bout with a strong undefeated record, faced the first significant setback of his UFC tenure against Volkanovski, but his stock remains high according to the division’s kingpin.
