Arman Tsarukyan Confirms Lightweight Title Opportunity Scheduled for Early 2026

By MMAReign News Desk·Oct 22, 2026 • 7:03 PM

Arman Tsarukyan confirmed he has been promised a lightweight title shot for his next fight, which is expected to take place early in 2026.

Top lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has stated that he has received assurances regarding his next Octagon appearance. According to Tsarukyan, he has been informed that his next fight will be a title opportunity, currently targeted for the beginning of 2026.

Tsarukyan was previously slated to challenge reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev for the title at UFC 311. However, that matchup was canceled just one day before the event after Tsarukyan was forced to withdraw due to undisclosed health issues.

Since that time, the lightweight contender has focused his efforts on returning to the championship conversation. While official bout agreements have not yet been publicized by the promotion, Tsarukyan’s comments indicate he has been prioritized for the next title cycle in the division.

For fantasy MMA managers, Tsarukyan remains a high-value asset in the lightweight division. With a confirmed path to a title shot, his inclusion in lineups will be highly anticipated once the specific date and opponent for his championship return are finalized by the organization.
