Arman Tsarukyan Rules Out Matchup with Jordan Burroughs Following RAF 14 Upset

By MMAReign News Desk·Oct 26, 2026 • 8:04 PM

Jordan Burroughs' potential wrestling match against Arman Tsarukyan has been scrapped after Burroughs was defeated by Michael Caliendo at RAF 14.

Olympic gold medalist and wrestling standout Jordan Burroughs will not face Arman Tsarukyan under the RAF banner following the results of last weekend’s RAF 14 event in Las Vegas. Burroughs entered the event needing a victory to secure a high-profile wrestling match against Tsarukyan, who currently serves as the face of the organization.

However, Burroughs suffered an upset defeat at the hands of Michael Caliendo. Following the loss, Tsarukyan indicated that he has no intention of moving forward with the matchup. According to reports, Tsarukyan holds himself to strict standards regarding the caliber of competition he faces within the RAF framework and has effectively closed the door on the potential contest, stating there is no longer a point in wrestling him.

This development marks the end of a highly anticipated potential crossover event for the organization. Tsarukyan, who maintains a prominent role in the promotion’s branding, remains focused on his own professional trajectory and is not expected to revisit a bout with the former wrestling champion after the recent outcome at RAF 14.
