Dana White Challenges Eddie Hearn Over Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury Promotional Rights

Dana White has challenged Eddie Hearn to take legal action regarding their dispute over the promotional rights for the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight.

UFC CEO Dana White has publicly challenged Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn to initiate legal action regarding the promotional rights for the upcoming Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury bout. The dispute centers on conflicting claims regarding which entity is responsible for promoting the high-profile event.

White has maintained for several months that he and UFC parent company TKO are the authorized promoters for the fight. However, Eddie Hearn has consistently disputed this assertion. According to reports, Hearn possesses a contract signed by Anthony Joshua that explicitly states White and TKO are not permitted to serve as promoters for the event.

Responding to these conflicting claims during recent remarks, White dismissed Hearn’s position and suggested that if the Matchroom promoter is confident in his legal standing regarding the contract, he should pursue a lawsuit. White mockingly remarked that Hearn’s claims suggested he had an "incredible lawsuit" ready to be filed.

The ongoing standoff highlights the continued friction between the two promoters as they navigate the complexities of boxing’s landscape alongside the UFC's evolving interests in the combat sports sector. As of now, neither party has moved to resolve the impasse through the court system, leaving the official promotional status of the Joshua vs. Fury fight in question.
