Dana White Denies Interfering with Oscar De La Hoya’s Attendance at Zuffa Boxing Event

Dana White has denied rumors suggesting he blocked Oscar De La Hoya from attending the Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn event held at T-Mobile Arena.

UFC CEO Dana White has publicly addressed rumors regarding the absence of boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya at the recent Ryan Garcia versus Conor Benn event. The bout, which took place at the T-Mobile Arena, was held under a co-promotion agreement between White’s Zuffa Boxing and De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.

Following speculation that White had taken action to prevent the boxing legend from attending the event where his own fighter, Ryan Garcia, was competing, White explicitly denied these claims. Despite his well-documented and historically strained relationship with De La Hoya, White stated that he was not responsible for the promoter’s absence from the venue.

The co-promotion arrangement between the two organizations had been a focal point leading up to the high-stakes welterweight title clash. While the promotional partnership brought together two of the biggest names in combat sports, the personal friction between the two executives has remained a subject of media interest throughout the collaboration. White’s comments aim to clarify the administrative side of the event and distance his operations from any alleged logistical interference involving the Golden Boy Promotions leader.
