Dana White Responds to Alex Pereira’s Accusations Against Daniel Cormier

By MMAReign News Desk·Oct 14, 2026 • 5:05 PM

Dana White has publicly denied allegations made by Alex Pereira that the UFC instructed Daniel Cormier to manipulate fans regarding the Gane vs. Hokit heavyweight title fight.

UFC CEO Dana White has dismissed claims made by Alex Pereira regarding the promotion’s handling of media personnel. Earlier this week, Pereira publicly alleged that the UFC had instructed media figures and influencers, specifically naming former champion Daniel Cormier, to manipulate fan sentiment in favor of the upcoming heavyweight title bout between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit.

Addressing the allegations during a recent media session, White explicitly denied that the organization attempts to dictate the personal opinions or commentary of its broadcast team or associated influencers. White emphasized that he does not instruct individuals on what to say when covering UFC events or matchups.

Daniel Cormier, who serves as a prominent analyst and commentator for the promotion, responded to the accusations on Tuesday. Cormier flatly rejected Pereira’s claims, standing by his professional integrity and dismissing the notion that his analysis is guided by promotional directives. The tension stems from the lead-up to the Gane-Hokit fight, which has faced scrutiny from various corners of the MMA community regarding its positioning as a title-deciding contest.

While Pereira has been vocal about his perceived lack of transparency surrounding the fight’s promotion, White’s comments seek to draw a line under the issue, maintaining that the organization’s media and broadcasting partners remain independent in their analysis.
