Douglas Lapa Secures UFC Contract Following DWCS Victory

Douglas Lapa has officially secured a spot on the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster following a successful outing on Dana White’s Contender Series. Lapa earned his contract after delivering a technical knockout victory against Davi Cabral.

The performance caught the attention of UFC CEO Dana White, who praised the effort during the post-fight contract reveal. While the announcement was marked by a brief moment of confusion regarding Lapa's age, the focus remained on his dominant showing in the Octagon.

Lapa’s ability to secure the finish against Cabral provided the necessary impact to move forward into the promotion’s ranks. As the latest athlete to transition from the Contender Series to a full-time UFC contract, Lapa will now look toward his promotional debut as he prepares for the step up in competition. No further details regarding his divisional placement or potential debut date were announced at this time.
