According to Ribovics, he and his team encountered unusual circumstances regarding their lodging a day prior to the official weigh-ins that negatively impacted his ability to hit the designated limit. The scale mishap resulted in Ribovics forfeiting a percentage of his fight purse. Furthermore, the weight miss rendered him ineligible for a performance bonus, a situation that cost the fighter at least $25,000 in additional earnings. Despite these logistical setbacks during the cut, Ribovics successfully managed to secure a finish over King Green in their bout.
