Jean Silva Reports Memory Loss Following Noche UFC Bout Against Diego Lopes

By MMAReign News Desk·Sep 13, 2026 • 11:01 PM

Jean Silva recently disclosed that he has no memory of his 2023 Noche UFC headlining bout against Diego Lopes due to the intensity of the knockout loss.

Featherweight contender Jean Silva has revealed that he has no recollection of his performance during his Noche UFC encounter against Diego Lopes last year. The bout, which marked the first main event opportunity of Silva’s UFC career, saw him suffer a brutal stoppage loss in a contest that was widely considered a Fight of the Year candidate. Speaking to MMA Fighting, Silva noted that the traumatic nature of the defeat left him with a complete blank regarding the proceedings of that night. Despite the severity of the knockout, Silva has since continued his upward trajectory in the division, recently securing a win over Jose Delgado at Noche UFC 4. The admission sheds light on the lingering physical toll often faced by fighters after high-stakes, violent exchanges within the Octagon. Silva has not indicated any long-term medical complications following the memory lapse and remains focused on his pursuit of the featherweight title.
