Jorge Masvidal Expresses Interest in UFC Return

By MMAReign News Desk·Oct 12, 2026 • 4:06 PM

Former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal has signaled his intent to return to the UFC three years after his last MMA appearance.

Jorge Masvidal is eyeing a return to the UFC octagon. In a recent update, the former BMF champion stated that things are "looking good" regarding a potential comeback to the promotion. Masvidal, who has not competed in an MMA bout since 2023, confirmed his desire to resume his fighting career under the UFC banner.

Following his last appearance, Masvidal sought and received permission from the UFC to pursue boxing opportunities outside of the organization. During that transition, the promotion provided a list of specific opponents he was cleared to face in the boxing ring. Despite his activity in other combat sports ventures, "Gamebred" appears focused on securing a return to the cage where he built much of his professional legacy.

While no specific opponent or timeline has been announced, Masvidal’s public comments indicate that negotiations or internal discussions regarding his status are progressing. Having been away from the Octagon for three years, Masvidal remains one of the most recognizable figures in the sport. His potential return to the welterweight or middleweight divisions would be a significant development for the UFC roster.
