Josh Hokit Set to Challenge Ciryl Gane for Heavyweight Title at UFC 334

Undefeated heavyweight contender Josh Hokit has been officially booked for his first Ultimate Fighting Championship title opportunity. Following the conclusion of the UFC 331 broadcast on Saturday, September 19, 2026, it was confirmed that Hokit will challenge newly promoted undisputed heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 334. The event is slated to take place at Madison Square Garden. UFC CEO Dana White commented on the matchup during the event, expressing a lighthearted sense of apprehension regarding the potential for Hokit to hold the championship microphone, noting that he has many thoughts regarding the prospect of a Hokit title reign. Hokit, who has maintained an unblemished record, enters the bout as the primary challenger for Gane, who was recently elevated to undisputed status. The heavyweight clash serves as the headliner for the promotion's upcoming visit to New York. For fantasy players, this bout represents a significant shift in the heavyweight landscape, as the division prepares to crown a new champion under the bright lights of MSG. The outcome will likely dictate the long-term trajectory of the division's rankings and future title defense matchups.
