Khamzat Chimaev Set to Headline Real American Freestyle Debut in Abu Dhabi

Khamzat Chimaev has been tapped to headline the inaugural event for the newly formed promotion, Real American Freestyle (RAF), on Nov. 14. The event, which is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, marks the beginning of a significant five-year strategic partnership between the promotion, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the UAE Wrestling Federation. This event represents the first time the promotion will operate under this new regional agreement. While Chimaev’s specific opponent for the headlining slot has not yet been named, his participation in the debut card serves as a major focal point for the new promotion's launch in the region. The deal highlights a growing effort to establish large-scale combat sports infrastructure within the UAE. As of now, further details regarding the remainder of the fight card, as well as the identity of the athlete slated to face Chimaev, are expected to be announced by RAF officials in the coming weeks.
