Luis Hernandez Steps In to Face Mickey Gall Replacement at UFC Vegas 121

By MMAReign News Desk·Sep 24, 2026 • 9:02 PM

Mickey Gall has withdrawn from UFC Vegas 121 and will be replaced by Dana White's Contender Series winner Luis Hernandez.

The UFC Vegas 121 fight card has undergone a late-stage adjustment following the withdrawal of Mickey Gall. Replacing him on the card this weekend in Las Vegas is Luis Hernandez, who earned his spot on the roster with a victory on Dana White’s Contender Series earlier this month. The bout is set to take place at the UFC Apex. Hernandez, who serves as a deputy with the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, enters the matchup on short notice looking to capitalize on the momentum from his recent performance. The late inclusion of Hernandez has drawn additional attention to the matchup due to the unique professional background of the newcomer as he prepares to transition from the Contender Series to a full UFC card. The UFC has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the reason for Gall's withdrawal from the scheduled bout. UFC Vegas 121 continues as planned at the Apex, with this matchup serving as a last-minute addition to stabilize the event’s lineup.
