Malcolm Wellmaker Returns to Action at UFC Vegas 122

UFC bantamweight prospect Malcolm Wellmaker is set to return to the Octagon at UFC Vegas 122. Known as 'The Machine,' Wellmaker enters the event looking to regain the momentum he established a year ago when he scored consecutive first-round knockouts over Cameron Saaiman and Kris Moutinho.

Following his rapid ascent, Wellmaker faced a stall in his career trajectory that halted the narrative surrounding his potential as a breakout star in the 135-pound division. As he prepares for his latest assignment, Wellmaker has undergone significant training changes, having relocated from Georgia to train with the team at American Top Team to sharpen his skills and refocus his campaign.

Wellmaker’s return is a notable fixture on the UFC Vegas 122 card, as he looks to re-establish himself as a serious threat at bantamweight. His ability to finish fights early has previously made him a difficult stylistic matchup, and observers will be watching to see if his time away from the cage and change in environment have evolved his approach. With his knockout pedigree, Wellmaker remains a fighter of interest for those tracking the landscape of the UFC's talent-rich bantamweight class.
