Nassourdine Imavov and Sean Strickland Engage in Heated Encounter at UFC PI

Middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov and UFC champion Sean Strickland were involved in a tense confrontation at the UFC Performance Institute. Footage captured on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, shows Imavov approaching the champion, utilizing aggressive language directed at Strickland during the exchange.

This incident adds a layer of promotional friction to the rumored matchup between the two fighters. Strickland, who has recently been vocal regarding his financial expectations for future title defenses, appears to be the primary target of Imavov's recent public call-outs. The UFC has not yet officially confirmed a date or venue for a bout between the two, though the increased activity between the parties at the promotion's Las Vegas facility suggests intensifying animosity.

While the industry has speculated that such high-profile confrontations might serve as leverage for fighters seeking salary adjustments, the interaction remains a volatile development in the middleweight landscape. Both fighters continue to train at the UFC PI, keeping them in close proximity as the promotion sorts out the division's upcoming title picture.
