Niko Price Returns for Farewell Bout Against Leon Shahbazyan at UFC Vegas 122

Welterweight veteran Niko Price is set to make a return to the Octagon this weekend at UFC Vegas 122. Price, a fan favorite known for his aggressive style, will face Leon Shahbazyan on the preliminary card inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The matchup serves as a corrected send-off for the fighter, who had previously announced his retirement at UFC Seattle earlier this year. Price described the initial retirement experience as an "awkward" snub that did not provide a proper conclusion to his career. According to reports, the promotion extended an offer for this final appearance to ensure he receives a more fitting farewell to his tenure. The bout marks a second chance for Price to exit the sport on his own terms after his initial departure failed to materialize as intended. For fantasy participants, this fight offers a unique look at a motivated veteran in his final outing against Shahbazyan. The event is scheduled to take place this coming Saturday as part of the UFC Vegas 122 lineup.
