Paddy Pimblett Proposes TUF Season Against Ilia Topuria

Paddy Pimblett has suggested that a season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) featuring himself and Ilia Topuria as opposing coaches would be the key to revitalizing the long-running reality series. In comments reported by MMA Fighting, Pimblett noted that the show, which recently concluded its 34th season, has seen a decline in fan engagement compared to its historical peak. Pimblett expressed confidence that a high-profile rivalry involving himself could bring the ratings back to the franchise. While TUF served as a primary developmental tool for the UFC for many years, its role in the modern landscape of the sport has been debated as fan interest fluctuates. Pimblett’s proposal highlights his interest in leveraging his promotional ability to boost the visibility of the UFC's programming. There has been no official response from the UFC or Ilia Topuria regarding the feasibility of such a matchup or a coaching stint.
