Robbie Lawler to Face Khamzat Chimaev in Wrestling Match at RAF 14

UFC Hall of Famer Robbie Lawler is set to return to the wrestling mat for a special attraction. Real American Freestyle (RAF) announced on Wednesday that the former welterweight champion will make his promotional debut at RAF 14, which is scheduled to take place next month. Lawler is slated to compete in a catchweight wrestling bout against former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev. Before establishing himself as one of the most iconic strikers in MMA history, Lawler was a standout high school wrestler, earning all-state honors during his youth in Iowa. This transition back to his roots in grappling marks a significant highlight for the upcoming RAF 14 event, pairing the legendary veteran against the high-pressure wrestling style of Chimaev. No further details regarding the specific rules or the exact date of the event were provided in the announcement.
