Sean O’Malley Reacts to Conor Benn’s $15M Zuffa Boxing Deal
Sean O’Malley is openly questioning the reported $15 million deal that boxer Conor Benn allegedly signed with Zuffa Boxing.
Zuffa Boxing — the new combat sports venture backed by Dana White and TKO Group (UFC’s parent company) — reportedly secured Benn on a single-fight agreement worth $15 million. The signing came after Benn parted ways with longtime promoter Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.
The number caught attention across combat sports — especially inside the UFC locker room.
“I’ve Never Heard of Him”
O’Malley didn’t hold back when reacting to the report.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former UFC bantamweight champion admitted he doesn’t even fully believe the figure — and went as far as saying he wasn’t familiar with Benn at all.
“I can’t imagine it being true. I don’t even know who Conor Benn is. I’ve never heard of him. It’s crazy how you put in so much work in the UFC, build this name, create this character, become a star… and I’m not making $15 million a fight.”
Still, O’Malley acknowledged the business side of things.
“If they think it’s good business and that guy’s going to bring in money, I get it.”
Bigger Picture
O’Malley rose to superstardom during a period when the UFC was searching for new pay-per-view draws following Conor McGregor’s inactivity. Despite recent championship setbacks, “Suga” remains one of the promotion’s most recognizable names.
