TUF 34 Finalist Valesca Machado Eyes Future UFC Title Run

Valesca Machado, competing under the name Tina Black, has set her sights on UFC championship gold following her successful run on The Ultimate Fighter season 34. Machado, who entered the competition as coach Daniel Cormier’s primary selection, advanced to the tournament final after securing two consecutive victories over Natalia, positioning herself to potentially join the small group of fighters who have captured a UFC title after appearing on the reality series. Reflecting on her trajectory within the organization, Machado expressed confidence that her performance on the show serves as a catalyst for a future title opportunity. While historically only nine fighters have successfully transitioned from a season of The Ultimate Fighter to holding a UFC championship, the strawweight prospect believes her path toward the top of the division will happen soon. Machado’s performance throughout the season has established her as a notable prospect in the strawweight division, and her upcoming final appearance serves as the critical next step in validating her championship aspirations.
