Former UFC standout Zabit Magomedsharipov is slated to make his Real American Freestyle (RAF) debut on November 14th in Abu Dhabi. He is scheduled to face fellow UFC veteran Giga Chikadze in the promotion's upcoming event.
Magomedsharipov, known for his dynamic striking and grappling, has been inactive since his last UFC bout in late 2019. At the time of his UFC departure, he held a perfect 6-0 record with the promotion. The Russian fighter cited frustration with being "jerked around" regarding fight bookings as a reason for his absence from the Octagon.
His signing with RAF and subsequent matchup against Chikadze marks a significant return to combat sports for the once-prominent featherweight contender. Chikadze, a Georgian fighter, also has considerable experience within the UFC, making this a high-profile grappling encounter.
